i have a 2010 lariat dually also it will be a year old in april only have 3,700 miles on mine. i have the 3.73 gears in it and it does just fine so far. i pull a 34' bumper pull right now and it weights about 7,000 lbs. loaded. At 70mph i get about 11 mpg. not good but better than the 1/2 ton i had before that got 8 1/2 at 60 mph. Solo i get about 15.5 mpg. if i go slower than 70. it gets better the slower i go. see if this will help you change your mind
