4wd noises

I have an 08 6.4 4x4 Lariat Crew Cab. Everytime I initially put my truck into 4wd I hear a squeaking noise that sounds like it is coming from my drivers side front wheel or that area. It squeaks as the wheel rotates. The sound goes away after a little while or I guess when the front drive warms up. I have had my truck checked by the dealer 4 different times. They have been unable to find the problem. The squeak is very audible and noticeable but goes away after the hub warms up. Has anyone else had this issue. I will be taking my truck in later this week for my 50,000 mile service. I started complaining about this at 35,000 miles when my truck was under the bumper to bumper warranty but the powertrain should still be covered till 60,000 miles. I do not want to run out of warranty and then have Ford find there is some major issue.

Well I am not certain if it affects anything or not. There should not however be any squeak at all when placed in 4 wheel drive. That means there is something wrong but what I am not certain. If I were to attempt to sell my truck I will guarantee any prospective buyer would have issues with the squeak. I will have my truck back into the dealer on Monday and I have again asked the noise be checked out. I will let you know if they find anything.

My 08 6.4 diesel did made the same noise. Replacement of the front hub on drivers side was what fixed my problem.

The ford dealer said the problem was in the passenger side brake sensor. They found where it had been rubbing. Do not ask me how putting my truck in 4wd would affect the brake sensor. They found this after looking for the problem 4 different times. All I can say is it has not made the noise again since I left the ford dealer. Hopefully it is fixed.
