Steering / Brake Problem

Has anyone experience this problem before?
The other day I damn near hit the ditch because my truck would not turn or the brakes wouldn't stop the truck then all of a sudden they started working. If there would have been another vehicle in the other lane I would have hit them.

The truck is a 08' F-250 with 56000 miles. BONE STOCK. I just purchased it 4 weeks ago with 54000 miles.

No the truck was running no problem, no hickup or anything. Just no power steering and very hard brake pedal.

I have had the exact same thing happen to me. Don't know what caused it. It was exactly as you described. When I mentioned it to the Ford dealer they looked at me like I was crazy. Said they have never heard of it before. Thankfully, it hasn't happened again. Mine is an 08 and when this happened I estimate that I had about 50,000 miles.

Well this week I have not had any problems. Started last Wednesday and it happened on Thursday and Friday. Friday being the worst. That is whenI almost hit the ditch. Was at the camp on Saturday & Sunday so didn't use the truck much but no problem on the way there or back.
I called the Ford dealership here and the service guy said he has seen it on forum's but never experience it in the shop.

A Freaking AGAIN

Well damn near hit the flipping ditch again pulling a unloaded 20' trailer. Go to turn no power steering and very hard brake pedal that feels like there is no stopping. i guess it will need a trip to the dealer before i hurt my self or someone else.
Have had the truck a month. Not a good start. traded in a 07 dodge 6.7 diesel with the infamous CEL problem but at least i know i could stop and turn. Wondering if I made a mistake.

CT, what would the suspension parts have to do with the problem i am having? What gets me i drove back from work this evening and no problem, it may go days without this issue again or may happen on the way to work in the morning.

Someone on here has to have had this problem in the past and fix it.
It is going to the shop on Monday to have it looked at. Probably going to get the look "like a mule looking at a new gate."

Well ya never know..If my truck acted as yours I would do a visual check on everything related. Probably nothing to do with it but I'd want to make sure that their wasn't some road trash anything that could be interfering with the hoses, linkage, wiring anything that could contribute to the problems.
