Exclamation No Boost

Hey to all! This is to serve as an intro but also a plea for help! Love your forum--have been watching as a guest for a while now! I hail from the flatlands of Nebraska where it can get a little chilly from time to time. I drive an '03 F250 crewcab with the 6.0. The only mod I've done to this point is an Airaid C.A.I. The truck is garaged at nite. The last couple of times the temps outside dropped into single digits and below, I have lost my turbo/boost
when driving. Speed or load doesn't seem to matter, nor if engine temp up or not. I can get the turbo to spin up if pressed VERY hard but it doesn't sound or function right(surges very badly). What gives?!? This truck used to sit out in temps like this all nite with no trouble! A sideline to this--related or not don't know--have been getting heavy fuel/exhaust smell on startup. I luv the smell of oilburning as the rest of you, but more smell than usual. My dealer has looked for source before, but no luck. I don't trust my dealer a whole lot either!!! Thanks for any help you can give! Glad your here!

How many miles are on the truck. Your engine should fall under the 100,000 mile warranty. I suggest finding a different dealership to take it to, being a 6.0 I know they have problems with the egr valves and turbos on those engines when they first came out. You maybe experincing one of those problems and need the egr valve replaced or the turbo replaced. But since the engine is under warranty still find a different dealer near by and let them look at it. Your paying for the warranty might as well use it.

Thanks for the quick reply BC. I've got just shy of 55,000 on the clock.

Wish I could give you some insight but without seeing the truck ... it could be so many things.

Start by checking what type of fuel you have - is it icing/jelling up? You need to check your fuel filters, your air cleaner. The basics first. Did your dealer run a scan? It didn't give any codes?
