i bought a new up pipe that did not have the scoop and came with a plate to block it off. if i were to do it again i would probably just take the old up pipe and take the scoop out of it and weld a plate in it. thats just my opinion...

cheapest if you have a welder is to weld freeze plugs in each end of the EGR cooler, and with the up pipe put it in a vise and with a steel horse shoe stake or pipe, mash the scoop flat inside the up pipe. Then reassemble and it all loooks like its there and cost you about $1.75 for the plugs and maybe $20 in new gaskets the EGR cooler connections, obviously more if you decide to use new intake manifold gaskets.
