UNPLUG EGR

I have a 2003 F250 6.0. I was wondering if I can simply unplug my EGR without and problems. I ask because I hear of people just unpluging their's.

So long as the valve itself is clean and not hung open, you can unplug it while the truck is turned off and then it will not open while driving. You will set a check engine light on the dash by doing this, but won't effect the drivability of the truck any.

You won't notice a difference, however your intake will no longer get crudded up with soot.

FWIW, I disconnected mine and it never set off a CEL or any codes, when you run the instrument cluster test.
