New Problem

I have a 03 with 113k on it. The other day I was going down the highway 70-75mph. went to pass someone, gradually accelerated as I was passing. My truck started to buck and puff out black smoke as I was making the pass. I just changed the air and fuel filters. I pulled the egr it was pretty clean, cleaned it anyway. Any ideas?

could be loosing high pressure oil. thats what mine started doing at first, then it finally had enough and didn't have enough power to move itself in 4low.

Does it have a check engine light on?

nope. no real codes either. just egr (welded shut) and once had a #6 misfire code, thats it. I have a video on my phone of it trying to make it back to my yard when it died.

I don't have a check engine light on. I brought it to the dealer today so they can scan for codes. I hope to hear from them tomorrow. I just want them to tell me what they find if anything, and I'll try to fix what ever on my own.
