03/6.0

I was wondering about the 03 6.0. One of the local G.M. dealers has a real nice 03 Lariat 105000 miles,do the 03s give more problems or about the same as the rest and is there a web site where you can check warrentyrepairs with the vin# Thanks Dean

Oasis report from any ford dealer will show all ford warranty repairs.

I have a 03, No major(like cant drive it) problems yet.

If you're a Premium Member on here, you can get the VIN checked. Weak points on the 6.0 are the head bolts which lead to failed headgaskets (need to replace w/ head studs if you're going to make any power). Also the EGR system but you can remove it since you won't be concerned with warranty.

Yep, I would recommend studding any 6.0 and getting the heads machined. Also the 6.0 have Headgasket failures and ER failures no matter what year you go with.

BTW, I have studs.

Studs are NOT a cure all for head gasket issues but do cut a lot of it down.
