a few questions for ya....

i have a 05 250 mostly stock with 4in down pipe to 5in stacks. other than that its stock. well every once in a while it decides to loose a little antifreeze.doesnt do it all the time just every once in a while. i had my egr valve unpluged and it didnt do it. pluged it in and it started doin it. its not like a spray or anything like that its more like a little leak around the cap. could the cap be bad? i replaced the orignal one with one from advanced auto. should i go get one from ford? i wanna make sure its not a head gasket problem cause its got 98500 on it and more importantly the sct is coming this week and i wanna enjoy it. so any help from you guys would be greatly appreciated. thanks

is the coolant level at min mark printed on the bottle cause ford had a recall where the max mark was to much and they put new stickers on making the min mark ,the max mark if that makes sense

thats true the min mark is the full mark. i would get the factory cap. the cap does go bad, but usually if you are towing or getting on it hard, it could "puke" out the cap. but if you just have little spots around there i wouldnt worry too much, if you start blowing white smoke i would be concern

thanks for the quick replys. i have it at the min mark or maybe just a little below it. i think i will try and get a new cap and put it back at the min mark and hopefully this helps. another 1500 miles and i can get rid of the whole egr thing hopefully. but thanks and ill keep ya posted on what it was.

I would take it in anyways. It might be the start of something and you could get studs out of the deal. Worth a try.
