Sup guys,

I wanted to know why my Fogs blow out all the fuses i replace for it. Any idea what might be the problem?

Arching power somewhere? Surging?

You have to put a 20 amp fuse in place of the stock one, the startup power on an HID lighting system is greater than that of the factory halogen lights, but drops once they are lite. I have had HID's in my 07 since I bought it and once had a problem.

what he said.. you can try this... mine work off my stock and they just plug into the factory harness....

and i have not changed my fuse but they seem to work well...

if that doesnt work your going to need a relay to grab power directly from the battery...

I wanted to add that I would not normally do something like this, fuses are there for a reason, but I tried it because it was in the directions of my lights. My Hi/lo ballasts run off a seperate wiring harness w\ relays and are fused directly to the battery. Hope you get it fixed, HIDs sure do help out in the light department.

I tried to put a higher voltage fuse for the fogs. But as soon as i turn on the switch it fries the fuse. i tried 10, 15, 20. all fried. Dont know what could be the problem.

They use to work. but idk whats going on

Use a meter and check the resistance to ground. If there is little or no resistance unplug the ballasts one at a time. The ballast may have a short in it. If you pull both ballasts and still get a low resistance/fuse problem you have a short in the stock wiring.
