04 chugging when in gear, and funny idle.

Took a 200 mile trip today, and at the gas station I noticed the truck had a little "miss" in the idle, then when I put it in reverse to back up to the pump, it kinda like chugged until I hit the gas.. Any idea what may be causing this?

I know your talking about a 6.0L, but once mines been on the highway for awhile, it will idle kinda funny, and lug when it goes into gear.

Mines done it a few times, but the odd idle kinda got me to thinking, opened the hood and checked for any coolant, don't want anymore headgasket problems with this thing, if its the gaskets again, I'm taking out a signature loan and putting a damn 12v cummins in her. lol

Now now, watch your mouth lol. (I've thought about the same thing). idk why it does it, but mine does the same thing. It will do it too if I hold it at 1500 RPM in P or N for like a min, then let off. It has like a cam lope, and the truck bounces lol

If yours it like that I wouldnt worry.

That's exactly what it is, sounds like its got a cam in it.

My first motor was doing this and while trying to find out why it was drinking coolant and when the heads were pulled the cylinder walls were scored. Maybe that was it maybe not. Still haven't gotton the truck back since the reman motor was a piece of chit.

See mine leaks no coolant, pukes no coolant, has no coolant issues period.
