Hello all;
I am new to the forum but have been educating myself with all the great info on here! Thank you all!
Ok ; here is my question. I own a 2007 f250 Lariat fx4 6 L with 165000. I bought from a guy at 150000 who had a meticulous maintenance history. Truck has been great until yesterday, surging and bucking and wouldn't go over about 40 or so. I limped and bucked off the freeway to the closest place I could see around.
Long story short I ended up at an International repair shop several blocks from where I was and they said leave it here and we'll take a look and call you when we find out what's wrong, should take a day or 2 to know for sure.
The end of the next day I call and they say truck is done. They said they found fuel leaking and with further inspection there was a piece of metal in your fuel pump so we replaced that and you fuel pressure regulator was bad so we replaced that too. Your truck is running like new now.
Bill: $1,428.54
Is that highway robbery or a fair price?
How much labor is involved in that repair?
Any info would be very much appreciated.
