6.0 gurus, dealership and I need your help...
My truck '06 F250 6.0 performance mods are 1) AFE CAI and 2) turbo-back Silverline exhaust.
Took the truck to dealership and they gave me new heads, EGR & oil coolers, gaskets, installed ARPs and returned to me. After I picked it up, I noticed smoke from a take-off; only from a take-off. I thought it was white smoke but the dealer says it's more of a blueish/grayish smoke. I put about 125-150 miles after I got the truck back the first time after the ARPs but int continued to smoke so I took it back to the dealer. They've had the truck for a week and they replaced a turbo seal(s), checked injectors (took them out and reinstalled them), and pressure tested everything- no leaks whatsoever- no fuel leaks, no oil leaks, no coolant leaks. Still smoking. Ford keeps telling the foreman it's a cat issue but even after the foreman explains to Ford that the cat was not there originally and that it didn't smoke before, Ford continues to insist on the cat. The foreman is a proud dude and won't accept that for answer. He's determined to diagnose the problem and determine what is causing the smoke. Do you guys have possible solutions to this problem? The foreman refuses to return it to me smoking saying it's a matter of pride. Thanks! |

There are not many out there like this one. Ford out right denied warranty repair work though my dealer on my truck because of the turbo back exhaust. They told me it would have to be retuned to stock for it to be warrantied. "That is how it rolled off the factory floor and how it must be to be repaired."
