Heater Fan Whistle

When I turn up the fan (mid to high), on my heater it whistles like I have a turbo on it!!

Has anyone had this problem? when the heaters is on at any tempature, in any position, def, floor, vent, there is a high pitched whistle coming through the vents. When the fan is on low I don't hear the whistle. Only when I bump it up to about half or full do I hear this sound.

Before I take it to the dealer, I thought I'd check to see if anyone else has had this issue??

Thanks

Does it whistle any particular tune?

Seriously, sound like there may be a fan motor bearing going out. Since your truck an '05, I would assume you still have warrenty coverage, so would take it in and let them do wha't necessary.

haha, actually I think I figured it out.

I recently had two amplifiers and a speaker box installed behind my rear seat.

In order to make everything fit the two plastic vents that are on the back wall of the cab were removed and blocked with Dynomat.

Soon as I cracked a window, opened up the door it went away. Also, if I hit that button on the heater that cirulates the air throughout the cab it also stops.

Anyways, aparently those vents assist with air circulation. I knew I didn't like the idea of blocking them off, but those darn guys at the stereo shop started hacking away.
