2003 F350, CC, Short Bed, FX4. So I was towing a boat and out of nowhere my left rear turn signal quit working. The boat trailer continued working. I knew this because of the fast blinking on the one that was working... The bulb was intact and working. Just to be safe I bought a new one but unfortunately did not work.. I used a multimeter to check for voltage and i was getting a big fat 0.... I checked all my fuses, they are all good. Maybe a relay? not sure which one.. Any help would be greatly appreciated.. thanks.
Seriously weird. You said the trailer signal was still working. I have to ask did you look or just go by the fast flashing? If you did look and verify it is working then there has to be a loose connection somewhere in the wires. The wires have to split somewhere to supply power to the trailer plug so I would run that down and check it. Hope this helps.
thanks for the reply, i did actually get out and check it, my front left blinker was still working and my rear left blinker was not and the boat trailer left blinker was still working as well.
So your problem is narrowed down to a wire chaffing, shorting, bad connection or something along those lines and lucky for you the problem is isolated after the wire harness that goes to the trailer plug and before the light bulb. You might try having your turn signal on and just slowly moving all wires going into the connectors and the light socket. My bet would be the wires going into the light socket itself have got corroded.
