How many FICM's out there have been replaced?


I have read alot of your posts over the last few weeks and feel this may be of interest to many readers.
If you have had your FICM replaced it would be nice to know as well.
Below is a snipet of the transscript.

NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 05V270000 RECALL DATE: June 07, 2005

COMPONENT: Electrical System: Wiring

POTENTIAL NUMBER OF UNITS AFFECTED: 180104

SUMMARY:
Certain pickup trucks, sport utility vehicles and vans equipped with
6.0L Diesel engines may experience stalling without warning while
driving and may or may not restart. CONSEQUENCE:
Should the engine stall, a vehicle crash could occur. REMEDY:
Dealers will upgrade the Fuel Injection Control Module

(FICM) wire harness, and/or have a new Injection Control Pressure (ICP))
sensor connector installed. The recall is expected to begin on July 5,
2005. Owners should contact Ford at 1-800-392-3673. NOTES:
Ford recall No. 05S34. Customers can also contact The National Highway
Traffic Safety Administration's Auto Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.

since the inception of the 6.0....i have personally replace 3 total FICM's.....

ALSO..... read that recall again!! that recall is NOT for the FICM...its for the FICM harness...which is the actual wiring harness that plugs into the FICM and the fuel injectors....there are hundreds of members here that have already had the recall done. over 95% of the trucks just gon insilating shields installed on the harness to prevent future chaffing of the harness......the ones that already exhibited chaffing had the harnesses replaced...
