I have a '06 F250 with auto climate control. It never shows the correct outside temp, most the time it shows -40. The AC works occasionally, but only when set to 60°, anything higher and no AC. Also, when not using AC it blows the same temp from 65°-90°. When running the DTC on the unit, it flashed 55 & 12°E.
I am by no means an expert but when I was replacing my intake air temp sensor they kept trying to give me the ambient air temp sensor. Reading a -40 all the time I would guess its failed and would start with that. As crazy has the HVAC systems are now days I would think the truck is shutting the A/C down thinking its -40 out. Just a guess.
Thanks for the info. I've replaced the ambient air sensor on the front of the truck. Does anyone know the locations of the car air temp sensor and the sun load sensor?
