thumping sound

I have a 2005 F250 4x4, When I turn the wheel I hear a thumping sound comming from the drivers side front wheel,It sounds like something is loose, any ideas what this might be?( it only thumps "once",and when I turn the oposite direction it thumps "once" again). HELP! And I have a vibration sound around 30 mph.
