The GREAT 6.0
screws up again!!!!!!!!!!!! Well had another fun weekend all thanks to the wonderful design flaws of the leaker. So I am minding my own business on my weekly trip in From Texarkana, AR to Harrison, AR and in this small town called clinton this stacked 12V starts rolling smoke on me...well 2 times he get the jump on me and 2 times I all but murder him in the ole 6.0, well he has not had enough..so I pull my trk in 3rd and at about 50mph we are side by side and we got on it at the same time. Same results except it was more like his was standing still. So I get to Harrison after 4 hrs of sitting in the truck that I am very happy with since in the past week I have smoked a 12v and a CR. I go to top off my tank because in 6 hrs I have to get up and load up horses and go to Ava, Missouri to help my GFs dad work cattle and such. Okay I wake up at 4 am take a shower go to start the truck....NOTHING justs cranks wont start. Air temp is like 40F and I am F N pissed because once again this great machine is not starting. Well Since my weekends are non stop I was like I am not going to go work cattle I will stay and see what needs to be done on this truck. I txt Cale at BTS and he calls me around 9 and I do the battery thing....well thats not the problem. So around 1pm he comes over and he runs a scan on the truck and nothing. So in both of our minds we think bad fuel so I call and ask the Shell station and they told me they just got #2 that evening before I pumped it! So we pull a sample of fuel and a lil water and trash in it so we run down and get my buddys service truck and run the fuel line in a bucket with red fuel acting as the tank. We run the pump and cycle it until Cale sees red fuel coming from the nut he cracked on the engine. Well it was about 7pm and we run a scan after trying to use a lil bit of ether and the truck still wont turn over. The scan now shows the FICM module is the issue with the code it was throwing. So Cale thinks he has one of another truck and is going to bring it down on Sunday am...turns out he does not have one and he orders one. So on wednesday he is going to run to my house and put the FICM on then the wrecker is going to take it to Ford and program he FICM and I hope this fixes the issues....FOR NOW! I am in love with the 6.0, she runs great, but wtf why is it I lasts about a month and then one thing after another....Injectors had to put 2 sets in so it was at BTS for a month. Now this...this is not the 1st time its been down and I hope its the last. Its very aggrivating...atleast I have a good 7.3 to drive when the 6.0 desides its not happy. Sorry for the long post it was just one of those days!!! I will say one thing though as usual the CUSTOMER SERVICE @ BTS IS GREAT!!!!! Thanks again Cale.
