is my door a jar?

my door ajar light keeps staying on it also makes the interior light stay after i lock it yes i have tried to isolate by each door it still stays on it did it once in a great while now it allways doing it my buddys 99' had the same problem any ideas?

use half a can of brake clean into each door latch.....then spray 10 seconds or so of WD in the same spot after the brake clean has dried. This will fix it for a while and you will have to repeat the procedure. The only other way to fix it is to replace the door switch which requires partial latch removal but that will fix it longer......

Pull out the door poppers and spray some wd40 on the connections.

if you can find some kroil, use it after the brake cleaner, thats what works the longest for me.

used the cleaner and some silicone spray its been a couple of days now no problems! thanks for the help.

I did that trick too when mine started acting up, works like a charm. It sure beats getting ticked off and slamming the living crap out of the door trying to make sure while the truck still says "hey, the door is still not closed"
