Coolant Leaking

From what I have read on this forum I believe it may be the egr but I need some additional input from the pros.

I have a 05 F250 6.0 with 58,000 miles; I just noticed yesterday coolant on the drivers side of the engine compartment. I noticed the coolant from the outside of the truck dripping down from the shock tower; I opened the hood and the whole drivers side under the d gas tank was wet. At first I thought it was a hose but after checking I couldn't find and leaking hoses.

Does this sound like the d gas tank leaking coolant because of the egr or could it be from something else? The truck doesn't smoke and seems to running great.

One more question would the egr be covered under warranty; truck is stock.

Thanks for any help

Sounds to me like that's your culprit.

EGR cooler is covered by 100k engine warranty and is your likely problem... Take it to your dealership and describe the symptoms. $100 deductible should get it taken care of.

I did for my FICM when it was replaced, but not when my EGR cooler was replaced. It was two separate trips; EGR cooler was a year ago Sept and FICM was this past Sept, so that may be the reason why.
