Fuel or icp??

Truck is starting to act up on me. I have checked the ficm and it all checked out fine. The truck surges at idle pretty good. At highway speeds on cruise it will run fine but as soon as you start to put your foot into it surging and cutting in out begins. Doesn't always die bit will sometimes. Usually runs rougher when cold and gets a little better when warmed up.

I have pulled the codes
P0683
P2287
P2291
P0148

I'm leaning towards the icp but it was just replaced about 15-20k miles ago.

I also took a quick vid of it on start up today.

P0683 is the GPCM communication with the PCM

P2287 ICP signal intermittent

P2291 ICP too low while cranking engine

P0148 Fueling error??

I'd lean towards a GPCM problem for the P0148 and P0683 codes.
Thread that discusses the P0148 code: P0148 soft code

Were the codes cleared when you replaced your ICP sensor? Was the ICP pigtail soaked with oil? Was the pigtail also replaced?

Yes. When I replaced the icp last was when the new long block went in. Pig tail was not replaced since it didn't look bad and wasn't coated in oil at the time. These are the first codes the truck has seen since the long block... Guess I need to get one ordered up with a pig tail.

Have you tried plling the ICP connector to see if it runs any smoother? I know it's a PITA to get to on an 03, but may help with diagnosis.
Also, are you just getting those codes off your info center on the dash or a scangauge or similar. If not a scangauge, you are a whole new engine and 15-20k miles overdue for one!!! info from it could be quite beneficial in troubleshooting this kind of stuff. I'm leaning toward oil side issue, but if we knew ICPV, ICP, IPR duty cycle, and FICM volts it'd be easier to determine.

The codes are coming from a sat live wire. Next check I'm goin to get a scangauge. The truck doesn't get used much at all. The reason behind the long block was from the ding dong previous owner.

So decided to return truck to stock tuning. 2 different codes showed up besides the egr crap.

P0603
P0683

Would a faulty PCM have anything to do with the symptoms? I can't quite get my hand back onto the icp sensor but the wires do look like they have some oil on them as well. I have a new one on the way already.
