dead batteries? or something else

Ok here we go. I just installed a Edge insight on my truck 3 days ago. The truck was running, and last night I installed the EGT probe. I finally get done and start it up. I notice the radio is flickering and the music goes dead. I make it to the gas station to get fuel. It won't start just clicks. I get it jumped and back home.

So tonight I go start up same thing. I jump the truck and let it run for a while, go to back out of the drive way I lose the radio and the mileage gauge. I get it back in the drive way and shut it down. I go start it again and now lights are flickering like my truck has a ghost.

I need to get my truck running, but I am not sure if it is the batteries. I got the voltmeter out and the pass. battery reads 20v and the drivers side reads 17-18ish. Any thoughts?

Unless I am missing something, how are you getting a reading of 20 volts out of a 12 volt battery. Sounds like your voltmeter is messed up or the edge is screwing up your truck...

i have learned the hard way these trucks are electrical nightmares. I have an aftermarket alarm and have had problems with that. My radio flickers when there isnt enough juice to run the radio, like after i got broken into and batteries drained from the dome light being on all night. I would check fuses and by any means let us know what the problem is if you can find it and its fixable
