beating my head against the wall

Ok so heres whats going on i had a airdog 2 and was only getting 22 psi at the driven diesel fuel pressure regulator after dealing with them and getting no result and no answers i decided to go with the fass 220gph pump and maybe i will be able to get up to the recommended 60 psi well it went up but only to 40 psi now performance went up alot but i still cant get it to 60 and i am still white smoking what should i do next my mechanics cant figure it out and i just want it to be a good running truck again i basically just have everything that you can to the heads stage 1 injectors, cam, powermax, ported heads, oversized valves zmax intake banks intercooler, its running ok but not perfect and was wondering if anyone knew what i can do i just ordered the upgraded spring for the fass but other then that i dont know what to do we have opened up the regulator and tried turning it up and down and see no change at all i have no clue what else to do

have you checked the fuel pickup in the tank? if you can't get adequate fuel pressure from an aftermarket pump, then you've got something else going on. The pumps may have longevity issues, but you'd think that out of the box, they would be able to supply plenty of pressure. Makes me think its a suction side problem

Sell the pump to a cummins guy a put the stock pump back in or buy an A1000 or fuel lab prodigy.
