Climate control / tow haul wont work

Friends,
I have a 2006 F 250 6.0 and my climate controls go on and off. The weird thing is that when the climate control goes out the tow/ haul will not work either. I have searched the web for answers but have found none. Any Suggestions? All of a sudden it will come back on. I am baffled.

Thanks,
FXWG

Have you tried checking the fuse?

I have not checked the fuse because it is an on and off type of problem. I would think if it was a fuse it would not come back on once it goes off.

What type of HVAC control panel do you have?

Looking at the wiring schematics, it is showing that Fuse 2.24 (15A) Provides power to both of those. I am not saying the fuse is blown but i woold make sure it is fully seated. I would also make sure (if you are not the original owner) that no one has pluged a wire into that slot to provide power somewhere else. I had this issue on my old truck and it had spread the connectors to the fuse wider than needed. That made the fuse not sit tightly into the slot.
