inector problems

Hi again gang. Ok I do have an issue with my baby. I have the dreaded cold start issue with white smoke. I know from reading that this is probably a fault in the injection system. OK, as far as troubleshooting, i learne dot start from simplest to hardest. First thing i noticed was the hot side battery cable from the starter to first battery is almost completed corroded off. also the connector to DSbattery is also likewise corroded. Could this cause my hard cold start? ALso, whe the truck is plugged in overnight, it cranks first try with no problems or smoke.

Second question, how do i test the FICM for proper voltage?

I have zero monitoring equipment in this truck, but tat is likely to change.

I will replace the battery cable this week to see if that helps issues. I know that i wish to have the injectors rebuilt for my purposes by warren, but i need to bulletproof and con the warden into releasing funds for fuel upgrades first.

The battery cable issue isn't likely contributing to your issue but it could be cranking slower because of it. I'll find you a link for testing the FICM with a voltmeter but a monitor will monitor it easier.
