ok so i went to crank my truck but wouldnt so i charge it up and still didnt crank so had the battery checked and there good so put them back in with the charger hooked to it and get it to crank so then i turn it off take the charger off and put a volt metet to the batteries and watch the volts drop down to around 8 when i turn the truck on and this is with the radio and all turned off. the only thing i can think off is when i turn the truck on the glow plugs are taking all the power why ?? also this is another reason why i was thinking this when the truck has been running for a little bit it will crank back up but if it has been sitting it want.. someone please help

Please clarify. It would "try" to crank? Either the engine turns, or it doesn't when you cycle the ignition key to the "start" position. Do you mean it turns SLOWLY? Are you sure your batteries, and your connections are good? If so, it sounds like your starter is drawing excessive amperage, and needs to be replaced, or the engine is tight. Has it ever hydrolocked before?
