Truck keeps goin dead?

alright i cant figure it out...truck keeps dying on me and i cant figure out why. any ideas

it will start fine ill drive it for a while. go to college for the week and 3 days later my dad calls saying he tried driving it and he had to jump it? im not leaving anything on in the cab and the headlights are out. im gonna go pull the alternator and have it checked at advanced. any idea whats goin on with it? any of you guys had this problem?

the alternator is the most common component i find that causes battery draw after sitting , im not sure what goes on inside there but they will charge fine but drain battery after sitting , you might have it tested and i will show good , so what i suggest , leave main battery cables unhooked ,on passenger side battery the alternator wire connects with the 10mm nut on the positive post , only unhook that positive small cable to alternator , let it sit and see if it goes dead , that way it will eliminate alternator

Either you have a short that is drawing the power from the batteries killing them, or your batteries are no good, or the alternator is not working. Need to trouble shoot the problem.
