Hey guys 07 56,500 miles with looks like again with blown HG. Bought the truck 1.5 years ago. Heads were already studed. Should i buy new o-ring heads or send them to ucf machine shop to be rebuilt. What u guys think? Any info would be great.

Id send em to a machine shop and get em machined and checked. Make sure that you use a machine shop that knows 6.0 cylinder heads. If too much material is taken off of the heads in the machining process it can cause piston to valve clearance issues, and the valves and seats will have to be reground to clear correctly, and the valve stems will have to be trimmed and slightly shorter oem ford pushrods will have to be used.

Have em checked and see what they say, if they are really warped, you might be better off getting some new or remaned ones.

I'm going thru this same exact issue, but the shop I'm dealing with is being a total pita

How are you determining a blown head gasket? What symptoms do you have?

Loss of coolant. Took egr valve out and it's wet inside intake. Have a p0401 code insufficient egr flow. Does not over heat. Ect/Eot are within 15*. Do get white smoke but not when I plug it in. Will puke very little when I beat on it. Had it at ford they say nothing is wrong. Took it to a diesel shop n they said head gaskets. They did that dye test. Said the blue turned green. Don't know who to believe so I ordered the test from bulletproofdiesel yesterday. Any ideas on what I can do to solve this.

I read somewhere that if u release the pressure from the degas bottle and it builds pressure back it's HGs. I do get the no heat at idle but that's only cuz the coolant is low but fine after I fill it back to the min line on the degas bottle it fine. I lose about half gallon a week

A ruptured EGR cooler will cause the problems you are having. With your deltas at 15, you are at the limit that Ford says is acceptable. I'd replace the oil cooler and install an EGR delete.

That's a great place to start, install an egr delete, and replace ur oil cooler, and that will help with the high deltas and remove the egr cooler from the equation as a culprit. I would suspect the egr cooler especially since you have white smoke and a wet area under the egr valve.

That's where I'll start. I think that's what it is also.

Wow. I filled up my coolant. Drove 120 miles. I let it sit over night. Checked it this morning and had to put half gallon in. This time delts were 6* apart. Ect178/184eot and no white smoke. Truck ran great but smelled like I was swimming in coolant from inside. Floors aren't wet and heat was darn HOT.Gonna order the sinister delete with new oil cooler from mkm customs tomorrow. Hope this is the problem.
