overlap on shop labor charges??

Hey there, I got some quotes for having some work done on my f550

egr cooler 2400 for bulletproof
valve cover gasket leak

do those 2 items overlap, i got quote 290 for the valve cover gasket that is leaking

also thinking about having them replace the oil cooler with a new oem...is this also overlap, I am hoping that its all in the same area so it should be essentially just the cost of the part itself.

At this same time they said they don't flush the system, I naturally think this should be a given...is this common?

Thanks

There would minimal overlap in the labor for the egr cooler and the valve cover gaskets. If you are going to do the oil cooler at the same time, then there will be a major overlap and they shouldn't charge you the flat rate for the oil cooler and the flat shop rate for the egr cooler.

What he said^^^

When I do these I usually add 1hr labor for oil cooler rebuild while doing the egr. Also depending on year you may have them see if the STC fitting has been updated or not.
