Ficm

So I got my livewire ts last night and hooked it up. Start the truck this morning and it reads fixn at 24v the only time it shows above 46v is when idling. When on the throttle or moving it's all over the place. What do you guys think? I have not tuned the truck it's still stock just monitoring right now. Here's a pic of 45 mph cruising.

Call Ed at ficmrepair.com...

Betcha your due for a repaired or new FICM... It must stay above 46v at all times.

You MIGHT try to check the plugs to ensure that they are plugged in snug...

Any issues with the truck running? Starting?

Only issues are when it's cold. Once it warms up its great. I'm gonna check connections this afternoon. If I have it plugged in it'll start when it's freezing out no problem. If it's not plugged in there's no way in hell it's gonna start.

Well your battery voltage is good, your alternator seems to be doing its job, which leaves a bad FICM to blame.

I hope not. The guy I got it off of was running bad batteries though. I think they burnt the alternator up so the could've messed the ficm up too. I'm gonna check the connections though and go from there. Will the ficm voltages being low cause hard cold starts?

Ok I did the ficm repair today and the truck started without being plugged in when it was 30 degrees out. That would not have happened before.

Then you're officially good to go. 24v on throttle is beyond a bad ficm
