no power pulling
I have a 2004 6.0 with 4" turbo back exhaust, bully dog triple dog, everything else stock. I have had the turbo changed the icp sensor, egr cooler and egr all changed under warranty. The truck runs fine but when i get in soft sand or pulling my boat out of the water, from a dead stop,it has no power. The truck just sits there and wont build boost until it starts to move, then the turbo spools up and all hell breaks loose. It is so bad in the sand that it wont spin the tires and you have to put it into 4x4 low to get going.Any ideas would be appreciated.

If its a stick you might have clutch issues if its an auto check your tranny fluid. If your clutch is glazed really well it might not be able to handle the aftermarket power anymore. If your low on fluid(auto) it wont take the stress of pulling anything.

I took my truck into the dealer, they diagnosed it as stretched head bolts.Dealer did a complete tear down, but would not install arp studs as per my request, saying that they were not an engineered ford product;and since it was a warranty claim, they were worried that if ford caught wind of it,it would come back on them.Since it was a warranty claim and i have been running a programmer(bully dog),I didnt push the issue.I am hopeing that the new headbolts were an upgraded part and not the same crappy tourque to yield bolts that were in there before. If that is the case, then maybe it is time to dump this truck and get one that can take some power upgrades.(chev or Dodge)
