I went through this same issue a while back. Open and close Live Load several times. Try loading the tune more than once. Keep in mind that you are dealing with computers, they are tempermental. Persistance was the key for me.

i keep trying, when my sct first comes on and gives all of the info, the 3rd line or so says "device locked". after it tells me "failed to read data" about 100 times it says "device could not be unlocked, try disconneecting and reconnecting" im still clueless

delete that file and download it again. make sure your firewall and virus protection is off only while you DL the tune. it may have been corrupted during transfer.

follow walker. Turn off the firewall, the anti-virus etc. Plug your SCT in first, then fire up Live LOad. Make sure you unlock that thing. Several attempts may have to be made to connect the usb, restart LiveLoad etc. I had to even erase LiveLoad, then re-install it. Also delete all the spartan files you currently have. Make sure you are downloading for your specific model year. I had trouble with 1 or 2 for my specific year, and had to get the ones for multiple years. I also made a desktop folder labelled "tunes" to make finding my downloaded data easier to find. Additionally, ensure that you have installed all the appropriate drivers for your specific SCT, find them after downloading them and run them. After they are updated, restart your system.

First find your anti-virus, it should be in your status bar on the bottom right if its running. Right click that baby. Should get an option to "disable" Say "YEPPER". Next, there are internet options if you are running Internet Explorer. Should be under "Settings" Go to "Security" Should be a listing for "Windows Firewall" turn that beeotch OFF. Then download the goodie bag to a NEW destination folder on your desktop. I like to label mine TUNES.
