Coolant loss?????

every 2 weeks i have to add a gal. of coolant to my excursion.i took it to the shop, they told me it was 90% headgasket failure. so i bought the arp studs and dropped it off at the dealer. i have 3 weeks of warranty left. well they call me today and tell me that they have tested everything, including egr cooler HGs and all and can't find anything whatsoever.

now i have a set of studs and no i dea where my leak is. any idea's?

the studs are for sale in the for sale section, need to recoup some cash till i actually need them..

Are you in Baton Rouge? If so, take it to Robinson Brothers. They will fix it and fix it right. Your gaskets are blown. Don't let them trick you into running it out of warranty.

BTW - GO TIGERS!

BTW, keep the studs, your going to need them. Once you get them in, the 6.0 will be fine for many more miles.

i'll take it by there this week. warr. runs out on the 3 or 5th of next month i forgot lol. if they won't do it under warr. i'll sell the studs and just re-buy them later if i need them. i was told when i bought it that if it made it to 76,000 miles with no problems that it may be a good motor and never need anything. also it was really weak in 1 st gear when cold. they re flashed the pcm and turbo....now it won't get out of it's own way in first. it's actually worse

called robinson bro's they will only do stock. no studs at all unless customer is paying for the job. and they want $2500+parts.

so i am gonna sell the studs to get out of a slight bind i am in at the moment and just get more later if i need them...

Did you talk to Mark? That is the probably the standard answer you would get from him. You did say that you never programed the truck too right? I know the service Manager real well and I can help you with this. They will do the studs and they won't charge you anything. Send me a private message and I will call him for you.
