2005 Fuel Filter Change Creates Problem

Changed the fuel filter and o ring underneath the driver's seat next to the frame. Started right up, went about 1/3 mile, stalled out, and won't start. Have mechanic friend coming in morning to help me. Meantime anyone have an idea other than an air pocket? And if it is an airpocket where is the best location to bleed the air out? Thanks.

Cycle the key on and off 5 times in 30 second intervals.

The system self bleeds. Sounds like you may not have gotten the cap back on quite right and it's sucking air. Also, there are two fuel filters on the truck. There is a secondary under the hood next to the oil filter. You should pull it and see if it has any fuel. If not then cycle the key as mentioned before to see if you can hear the pump or see any fuel coming into the secondary filter housing.

Thanks for your help - both of you. Will get back to it in the morning and let you know how it goes.
