Puking degas bottle

My 05 excursion has 74k on it. Today the degas bottle puked and had nothing in the bottle. The engine fairly stock with the exception of an upgraded ficm and bpd egr cooler.
I have an insight CTS and my deltas were showing no more than a 6* delta while driving 65mph. Thanks to this forum I also installed a pressure gauge in the cooling system so I can check this. There was no spike in pressure even when the turbo was spooling up going up hills. The fill level was at the minimum mark in the bottle. When I got home a parked the truck for a couple of hours so I could start diagnosing the problem. When I popped the hood the bottle showed a coolant level about a 1/4" below the minimum line. I pulled a sample to check for oil and didn't see any in coolant.

Anything else I should be checking or look for? Hopefully not head gaskets.

ok Im a firm beleiver of doing the easy stuff first...have you changed out the degass cap recently? They are know to fail as they get older. Worth a try. Probably not the issue but its a starting point.

I did replace the cap at the beginning of the summer when I did a flush and fill. It wasn't the dorman brand cap though.
