Vacuum pump issues

So my defrost has been stuck on. I've read a bunch about people saying its just a vacuum leak, but i dont think it is.

I have eliminated the auto hubs, and capped off the hose to them. My blower stays in defrost unless i switch it to 4x4, then it will go back to the vents of my choosing. When i switch it back to 4x2 it still stays at the vents until i switch it to defrost mode, then if i try to switch it back i gets stuck in defrost. Alternatively, if i leave it on vent after doing the 4x4 switch, once i put it in drive it switches back to defrost.

I dont believe the vacuum pump is leaking because it doesn't continuely run, and i pulled the hose off and capped it after the vacuum chamber and it worked as it should. Is their something else that is messing with my blower system?

Have you checked the connections going into the heater control knobs. Might just have a loose connection there. Since it changes after switch the 4x4 system I'd say its a vacuum leak.
