No Start Problem
I own a 2006 F350 SuperDuty 6.0 and since I bought it 2 years ago it has ran good with no problems. I now have a will not start problem that has me stumped.
Day 1: Truck started OK and ran fine at first. Several miles from home it began jerking or bucking badly. If I gave it more fuel it settled down some but this continued until I got to my destination. After a few hours I went home, the truck started fine and seemed OK at low speed but after getting on highway and up to speed it did the same thing. My first thought was that I had gotten some bad fuel.
Day 2: The truck started fine again and I drove to a nearby station to put in some new fuel as the fuel guage was at the 1/4 level and I thought maybe this would help and driving it that day it ran OK except for 1 time it did the same as on day 1.
Day 3: I went out to go to store and the truck would not start it tried when I turned key on it would turn over but would not start. I have checked fuses and after hearing a strange noise on the passenger side of engine I though maybe it was the starter but I took it off and had it tested and was told it was OK so I re-installed it.
If anyone has any thoughts on what might have caused this problem and what I might check, I would be very happy to hear them as I am at a loss.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
