Stand Pipe Question

I have a 2005 F-250 Lariat 6.0L. Latley i have been unable to start when hot. I have an edge insight and when cranking hot I am getting about 350psi ICP so no start. I disconnected the ICP sensor and no start. So I figured I would replace the STC connector, and the standpipes and dummy plugs. I got the parts today and when I took the passenger side standpipe out it has a 1/2 square head and is only about 2 inches long. The two replacement stand pipes are about 9" long (6E7Z-9A332-A). Are these the right replacements for both sides? If so how the hell do you get them past the evaporator? is there another piece in the engine I need to get out? The part number for the dummy plugs is W302908, is that right? Thanks for the help.

You need to reach in and pull the bottom piece out. If you can't get it out, you will need to remove the oil-rail to get a hold of it. When you go to put the new one in, there are a few methods. You can separate the new standpipe, and insert it in 2 pieces but I wouldn't do that. The easiest way is to loosen the oil-rail and insert the stand-pipe while refitting the oil-rail. You could also remove the cover to the AC unit.

Thanks

I figured out that there is another piece in there. Thanks. I have been fixing gas vehicles my whole life and this is my first diesel. Get a little freaked out sometimes because I feel like an idiot.
