07 F350 KR CC fog lights

Okay so after spending the better part of a day trying to figure it out on my own I decided to post it here.

I have good fuses, power out of the switch, fog light indicator bulb illuminates when pulled, lights on low beam switch on run, no power at the fog lights???

Any suggestions or past experience

I did most of the testing with the engine running as I was cleaning the coolant system.

Have you ever seen them work?
I'm assuming that you checked the fog light relay and ground.

I have owned the truck for about three month and never realized the fogs didn't work.

That's the thing, I can't find any relay, and the wiring diagram doesn't list a relay on the fog circuit, I am assuming my issue is in the ground, so when I get a chance I am going to pull the fuse box, cut the fog ground wire and ground it under the dash so the fogs should work all the time. I ran out of time today so I didn't get to it.

The ground on the fogs operate in accordance with the high beams so I think I will just bypass that process and Make them burn all the time. while I was researching the ground diagram I found a cab ground strap had come loose under the passenger front door.

I don't have a diagram in front of me but I believe the fog light relay is grounded anytime the low beams are on and loses its ground when you switch the high beams on. Doing the fog light mod may bypass your problem.

Okay, so I did the fog light mod, permanently grounded and still no fogs, so Im assuming that somewhere down the line the wire has been cut to the fogs. I have power out of the switch on the fog wire and a definite ground, I guess all I can do is trace the harness to try and find where the wire may be cut, or run my own wiring.

I am taking the factory fogs off anyway because I am installing a brush guard with the 2 inch reciever in it but I was going to reinstall some aftermarket fogs on the brushgaurd and activate them using the factory switch, (im running out of upfitter switches)

---------------BREAK-------------------------

So the problem has been identified, I am going to post this in its own thread for others who may experience the same issue.
