Another injector thread.....I know, I know, just want a second opinion
Hey all, just wanted to confirm what I found before I buy an injector. My truck started feeling a little weird at idle the other day (in gear at stoplight). I drove it around a little and it seemed to clear up yesterday. Well today, I got in and it started idling a little rough again. No codes, I have a Scangauge on it - IPR looks good, ICP looks good, FICM output and input good (48-49 volts). Batteries are at 12.6-7 volts with the cables disconnected. Charging system putting out 13.4-14.0 volts.
Fuel pressure at idle is 60, no less than 50 and that's only at wide open and briefly (have an in cab gauge).
Anyways, after driving for a little while today the truck started smoking real bad - grey black smoke, clouds of it. Plus I heard a knocking sound under the hood.
I started unplugging injectors on the driver's side one at a time - I found that when I unplugged #4 the smoke greatly decreased and the knocking sound went away.
So, just looking for confirmation - my problem is injector 4, correct?
