Where's the zert fittings?
New to the site. I just recently purchased my first PSD a month ago. It's an 05 F-250 Crew Cab w/ a 6 inch Fabtech lift and 35" Terra Grapplers mounted on 18" Panther(CHEAP). Yes it's used but oh well, it was a smoking deal and boy is he still healthy! But down to the point, I was just looking my truck over one day checking fluids and looking for leaks and noticed there wasn't a single zert fitting on anything having to do with the steering or suspension. There was only zert fitting on the u-joints and slip joint. I remeber reading somewhere that they replaced all of them before. If someone could hook me up with a Part# or a website it would be much appreciated. I've read also on how a couple PSD owners have drilled and tapped the joints for zerts, but I just want to swap all of them out so I didn't have to deal with any little BS problems!

Hey there ChosenFew, Look, the new fittings and u-joints are made with high tech materials that do not need greasing.... My new Euro Mack full time 4x4 Crew Cab truck has none anywhere in the drive train except for the constant velocity joints in the front end.. None in steering, none in u-joints, it is quickly becoming a thing of the past. Mind you, I would feel better if I could climb under and grease something myself... Even my BRAND NEW F-350 CC King Ranch.... No grease fittings... Frustrates hell out of a old Greaser... Ha! Lone Ranger in Oz (Australia) |
