Crank and no start.

My 2006 F250 has a problem with a crank and no start. Ficm, IPR, Cam sensor and ecm has been replaced. Still no start. The original ecm was placed in another vehicle from the same year, and that vehicle started. Installed an ecm from a 2004 model 6.0L into my truck and the truck starts but does not run right. Just runs at idle speed, no matter how much fuel i try to give it. Also not all of the instrument cluster lights up with the 2004 Ecm installed. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

The 04 and 06 FICM and pcm have some circuit changes and use a different code base.
The 04 will not work on all functions of a 06 as you have found. Try the right year stuff and see what happens.

Lord I shall lead them to the water but I will not try to make them drink

It will not start with the proper year stuff. But does start with the 2004 pcm. A little update, it does start with the original ecm, with constant fuel supply by pressing accelerator pedal.
