Oil Temp

Hi Guys,

How hot does the oil temp get when pulling a heavy load. I have an 04 6.0.

I was seeing an oil temp of 260 when the outside temp was 106.

I was seeing about the same when i was unloaded on the interstate. the outside temp was 75 and my coolant temp was 190.. don't know if it is good or bad i am baout the post the question the general area.

I've seen 230* on the oil and 225* on the water with 16k on the back.

It sounds high you might have a plugged oil cooler you coolant and oil temp should not be more than 20 degrees deference.
