White smoke at take off

Hey guys, in need of a little help here. So I just bought a 2004 F-250 with the 6.0 today. I test drove it and hooked it up to my Edge Insight and did not find any problems with it whatsoever. On my way home, which is about an hour away, once I got in traffic I noticed that the truck started blowing white smoke. It was only doing it when I would take off from red lights. It wouldn't do it that I could see while idling. It also never did it when I was in traffic while I was test driving it. It does not do it once up to speed at all, even if I dump it WOT. My Edge Insight is not reading any DTCs. I swiped my finger around the exhaust and it was not wet, only black soot. I'm just trying to figure out if this is something serious or something that will not be too costly to fix or what. It's not a Ford dealer that I bought it from so they wouldn't be able to fix it. But if it's something bad then I will probably try to take it back. Thanks for your help!!

maybe egr cooler starting to go. Drive the truck a while to build up cooling system pressure then shut it off jack up the rear so it is doing a nose dive wait a little while and take out the egr valve if you see moisture you need an egr cooler.

Thanks guys. I pulled the EGR valve today and it wasn't horribly dirty, went ahead and cleaned it. It also was dry, didn't have any traces of coolant on it. It had stopped smoking for a few days or so anyway, then today after I cleaned the EGR valve it started smoking some worse than it was before. Don't know if that was coincidence or not
