2003 6.0, OBD2 problems.

Had my check engine light come on today and took it to 2 different advanced autos. Both tried their readers(2 dif models) and they kept saying Linking Error or Connection Error. Anyone know what could cause this? I guess I will have to take it to the dealer and see if they can do it.

The code reader has to be C.A.N. compatible. I ran into the same problem and went to three different people with readers and they wouldnt link to the computer. Bought one from kragen for 100 bucks and it retrieved the codes.
