HELP! Trailer Brake Controller Problems

Hey someone help me, I have the trailer brake controller on my 2006 f250 cc ps, and everyonce in a while a " Trailer Disconnected" message will display in the message center area. What could be wrong, I looked under the back of the truck where the wiring is and everything looks harnessed up tight. Everything is clipped together, no water in the connector or anything. Whats going wrong? Could it be a loose fuse? HELP

take it in to the dealer. Your trailer brake controller module is bad. There is a TSB on it if its without the trailer hooked up

Hey Marc, I checked out the service bulletin page and it said to check the fuses in the engine compartment, I figured I give it a try before dropping it off a the dealer, i checked the number 12 fuse , the 2 amp one, when pulled the cover off, that 2 amp fuse was hanging on by a thread, barely in there, so i cleaned it off and pushed it all the way in, so i think i fixed it will find out as I drive it later.

Hey Marc: I am getting the same warning but only with the trailer attached. Every time I stop and check the plug and it seems fine. The warning light only stays on maybe 5-seconds so is already off by the time I get stopped but I check the connector anyway. Any ideas?
Thanks

Electric Hydraulic Brakes

I am going to try this without starting a new thread.

I have a hydraulic boat trailer that uses electric hydraulic brakes and the factory trailer brake controller will not work with this system.

Does anyone know why it will not work?

Does anyone know if there is a way to make it work?

Any help or information is greatly appreciated.

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday!

Thank you,
