2004 6.0 starting problems

Hey yall. Im new to this forum and was looking for some help. I have a 2004 f-250 6.0, heads studs and sinister egr delete. It seems that for a little while now, my truck cranks a little slower than it used to, and sometimes when i go to start it, itll crank up to 5 or 6 seconds til it finally starts. Sometimes it starts right up, with no apparent problems at all, and every great once in a while it wont start at all. Driving, there is no loss of power or anything. When it cranks for a long time with no start, i can turn my key off, run my glow plugs 7 or 8 times, and it will crank quick, and start right up. Also, right after i start it, if i lay my foot into the gas pretty good it will have a stutter effect to it, almost like a miss, and a puff of white/grayish smoke will come out of my tailpipe. Like i said, while driving it, it drives awesome and has no loss of power. After i drive it for a little, i can put it in park and lay on the gas and it is just fine. I am just curious as to what my starting problem might be. Please help, will be greatly appreciated!
