EBP Re-Install Question

I pulled out my EBP sensor and tube and cleaned it....

When I was re-installing the sensor, it will not thread all the way down. I didn't notice if it was completely flush when I pulled it out so does anyone know if the sensor sits flush on the plate or not? I attached a pic of what I mean.....

thanks!

IIRC, that year is a 1/8" NPT; so it is a taper and you don't want it to bottom out. The 05-07 are JIC fittings.
