White smoke at start up?

This is my first diesel and have noticed quite a bit of white smoke till it gets up to temp? I don't know if that's normal or?? It has the egr delete. Another thing, it takes so long to get up to temp, it is really a dog till it warms up as I have no power.

Any other issues? Does it spit and sputter when cold? What oil are you running? any DTC? You could have an open injector spitting loads of fuel into the engine. Could be burning coolant too.. Whats your delta temps when warm?

Yea it spits and spudders for about 3 miles then stops. And the white smoke stops too at about the same.

Alot of white smoke or barely noticeable? Any DTCs? contribution codes? I would be careful, if you have an injector hung open u could litteraly melt the piston and destroy ur engine. As much info as possible would be great

Barley noticeable, it's not thick. You think injectors?

Well if you jumped to conclusions too fast you could spend alot of money on something that could be as easy as running revx in the oil or even a oil change. Do you have a scan tool? I have the sct livelink and that will get alot of basic PIDs to monitor during sticky situations such as this, you will atleast be able to rule out things that are ok.
